1/1 Original sumi ink prayer painting. In this piece I was exploring the intersection of currency and faith, and praying for a more equitable future. By hanging the dollar sign on the cross I am hinting at the collapse of our fiat currency. Bitcoin, which to me seems like a possible solution to our ancient problem of governments watering down money (and stealing from its constituents), hovers above in the heavenly realm. Like G*d, the founder of Bitcoin remains anonymous and blesses the world without needing to receive the credit. Yeshua’s crucifixion is the ultimate demonstration of the universal pattern death: resurrection. Though it is painful to be living through the death of this system, I believe when we do we will see a brighter future and bitcoin will play a huge part in it.
